Our Cosy Love Nest

Since we collected the keys to our house this year in Feb on Valentine’s Day, the reno works for the house only started in late April. We simply took our time to research how we want our house to be done. But most of the research are done by my hubby. Hehe… It was a tiring process but it’s all fun. When the house is fully done up and complete with furniture, we feel so happy. It’s worth all the efforts and time. I managed to take some pictures of the house before it was all done up till the little touch-ups done every now and then. Here it goes! :)

The first look when we got the keys!

Reno started.

Progress of the reno.

Went Taipei with my sister and my Les Berries bestie last month and three of us had a great time enjoying the food and shopping. Nearly don’t wanna come back lor :p Totally miss the food and shopping after we came back. Though it’s already my 3rd time to Taiwan but I still enjoyed my trip very much. The photos show it all! :D

Off to Taipei!

First stop was to eat Ah Zhong Mian Xian :)

Day 2 was a full day of visiting to other places as we have arranged a driver to bring us around.

First stop was to YehLiu.

Different types of rocks can be seen.

Look at the long queue of *ahem* ah tiongs wanting to take pics with the Queen’s Head. The driver told us because of weather, the neck of the Queen’s head is getting thinner. So in time to come, this famous structure will be gone le.

The weather on that day was super hot lor.

Welcome to Yehliu~!

Rows of shops selling local food stuffs.

Next was to ShiFen to put Tian Deng ~

Explaining to us the different colour of lanterns are for what purpose

Started writing our wishes :) . When the shopowner saw we wrote Dio Toto/4D, he said almost all Singaporeans wrote that lor -__-”’

Halfway through we got to move inside the shop to continue the writing cos the train was coming~~~ choo choo~~~

Our wishes with our signatures :D

Once the lantern was lighted, it moved up so fast before we could catch a good picture of it :-/ Jace was so scared of the huge fire as you can see from the pic. Really beri the hot u know~

From ShiFen we went to JiuFen~

I was so happy when I saw the stall selling smelly tofu but these two were not keen at all

But I told them to give it a try and they were converted very fast! :p

Another famous must-try dessert when you go JiuFen.

Love the pic I took with my sis! :)

Next we headed to JinGuaShi, Gold Mining Town.

and the Golden WaterFall …

Even saw this couple having their wedding photoshoot there :)

Keke… It’a always nice to have some ice-cream on a hot weather. My sister can’t stand it when I kept taking pics of them buying food :p

All three places covered!

Last stop was to Kee Lung Night Market! Food!!!

We were so spoilt for choices when we reached there.

This is not a normal looking fried chicken. It was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Awww~

We shared this and it tasted great too.

KeeLung Night Market seems to be famous with seafood so we tabao crab back to our hotel to eat. Yumzzzz

Day 3 we skipped breakfast and went straight for mala steamboat for lunch before we head to Wu Fen Pu for shopping.

Look at the wide selections of food

Big chunks of beef… Haagen Danz and Movenpick icecreams and free flow of Taiwan beer~~~

Nom…nom…nom…

After shopping at Wu Fen Pu, we walked to Raohe Night Market to get our dinner. We love night markets!

That two were so converted that they suggested tabao-ing smelly toufu back to eat. Haha~

Day 4 was another day of shopping. Brought my sister to her fav tw online shop near Taipei 101. Happy dao~

Jessica brought us to this place for some taiwanese food. The guy even posed for the photo lor. Keke

Took some pics while waiting for seats.

Concentrating on the menu…

The noodles very the Q lor~~~

We passed by a street all selling teas so we chose one and had some cold nice tea to cool ourselves down. Weather was so hot almost everyday when we were there.

A must-go for night markets – Shilin!!! And look at the long queue for Hao Da Fried Chicken!

We tried this for the first time and it tasted great.

Jessica’s friend recommended her to this famous smelly tofu. We tried both of mala noodles and smell toufu. We ordered 2 big servings of the smelly toufu lor. Now I think they will hate me for asking them to try it because they can’t find it in S’pore if they ever have any craving :p

And we chanced upon this long queue outside and went to check out what was it. Seems like a very famous shop selling desserts.

The queue was really too long and we didn’t wanna wait so we went to the shop opposite with a shorter queue. Oh man~~~ Their macha red bean ice was the best we have eaten. The ice was so soft~~~

Walked around abit and I saw this very familiar shop *erm…* selling smelly toufu. Quite similar to that one Max brought us near his house during the last taiwan trip. Tabao one bowl back and Jessica loved it too.

Day 5 was a more relaxed day for us. We had our lunch at this stall near our hotel selling duck noodles.

Shopping at Carrefour!!!

Shi Da Night Market on Day 5 for more yummy food and shopping …

We shopped till about 11pm before we went back to ShiLin Night Market to tabao whatever we wanted to eat for supper. Shiok!!!

Had early lunch on our last day in Taiwan

Went to try this near our hotel but were very disappointed because it didn’t tasted as good as what we had at Shilin night market :(

Goodbye Taiwan but we will be back very soon :P

6 Months Already~~~

I was blog-browsing when I decided to click on my blog and take a look. I realised it’s exactly 6 months since I last blogged -_-”’ Gosh, how time flies! I have been really lazy to update my blog and also not much people gonna read my blog anyway. Or maybe still got a few out there checking out for new updates once in a while :p Anyway, life has been pretty much the same and different for the past 6 months. For those who have been reading my blog since the Devilsbar days and still do drop by to read my blog, I shall briefly update what has been going on in my life for the past 6 months :) Even if boh lang read also never mind lah. I shall treat it as an online diary for myself.

Spent the Lunar New Year together this year as Mr & Mrs Koh. Giving angbaos for the first time :)

We finally collected keys to our house on 14 Feb. And it’s the best Valentine’s Day pressie ever! :D

While we have been looking forward to our honeymoon in Japan which was booked to depart on my hubby’s birthday, a devastating disaster hit Japan exactly one month before our trip. Want to how sian~ It was very disappointing but my hubby said its a blessing in disguise. Luckily we were not there yet when the earthquake hit Japan. Arboh jialat. So we ended up going to Hong Kong for a 4D3N short trip. Though it didn’t really measure up to a honeymoon, but I still enjoyed the short holiday :D

Mid April onwards were the beginning of the renovation for our new house. My hubby has been a great help. From sourcing of lightings, design of the house, researching of furnitures and electronics, he’s in charge of everything. Really appreciate all the efforts he have put in.

Not forgetting celebrating my birthday this year as Mrs Koh. My hubby brought me to Dozo for a nice birthday lunch and surprised me with a lovely birthday pressie :) Thank you so much, my dear hubby! :)

Attended my dear friend Apple’s wedding on 21 May too. Was really very happy for her! Met up with her a couple of weeks ago. I cannot imagine we were clubbing like some siao charbohs at Devilsbar a few years ago and now we are all married and topics involves around our husbands and babies. Well, it’s all part and parcel of growing up isn’t it? :D Wish you a Happy Marriage, Mrs Ng!!

Last but not least, I hope my next blog update will not be 6 months later :p

Our Short Retreat

Counting down 2 days to a short getaway with my dear dear for a peaceful retreat in Phuket, ideal for renewing the mind, body and soul :) Hoping for a good weather so that I can bask myself under the sun at the beaches.

My December With Lots of Love

December has always been a month full of gatherings which I totally adore. Totally enjoys meeting my favourite people, have our little chats over some nice food and drinks. Here are the wonderful activities which took place in December, leading to a wonderful closure of a fantastic 2009.

Went Malaysia with my parents to visit my relatives. At the same time, also hold a little wedding lunch for them. Have not seen them for ages and had a great time catching up with all of them. As you can see from the photos, I have cut my hair shorter one week after the wedding :p

Went for a short 4D3N Bangkok trip with my dear dear after our wedding. Received a complimentary stay at one of the new hotels so off I went to book tickets for both of us. Great timing because both of us needed to get away for a short break after the wedding. Had a great time shopping at Platinum Mall, going for massages and indulging in thai cuisine. Or we just simply stay in bed after breakfast to watch tv. Bliss~!

Attended my company’s dinner & dance. The theme was Alice in Wonderland. Though I didn’t dress up as any of the characters but it was fun seeing the costumes some of my colleagues wore that night. Won myself a 2 nights’ stay including breakfast for two at Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu and $100 cash vouchers. Woohoo! I love holidays!

Met up with the Les Berries to celebrate Jace’s birthday and also Xmas Gift Exchange. As usual, we had a great night full of laughter. Totally enjoyed their company and hope the berry friendship will last forever! :D

Celebrated Jace’s birthday with the family at Minjiang Goodwood Park with a big spread of dimsum. Brought my parents to Ion for some window-shopping and took some photos with the Christmas Tree. All of us enjoyed the festive atmosphere albeit with the huge crowd in Orchard. Love my family! I have also planned a family holiday for them :) Can’t wait!

Vicki organised a Dinner-cum-Xmas gift exchange with the LKH peeps. I think this is the 3rd consecutive year that we had this xmas gift exchange. As usual, there’s lots of fun and laughter. Am really happy to know this group of friends through my dear dear. A very fun bunch of people to hang around with :D

Bought a wedding gift for myself, half paid by the angbao given to me by my parents for my wedding. Thanks Mum & Dad! I also bought a wedding gift for my dear dear – a PS 3 Slim. He was so happy when he saw the gift :D What a good wife I am you know~ :p

I think I am getting old because I don’t seem to like crowds, especially to countdown parties. So to welcome 2011, I organised a potluck cum steamboat dinner at my house. All of them brought a food item each – Yong Tau Foo from Pang, Pork Stew from Gerald, Butter Cake & Mashed Potato from Vicki and Max, Nuggets from Dennis and Alicia, Ice-cream from dear dear, Meatballs from Jessica, Fruit Salad from Jace and last but not least, Fried Bee Hoon and Curry Chicken cooked by my mum. It was a great way to say goodbye to a fantastic 2009 and welcoming an awesome 2011.

May all of you have a great 2011!

Call me Mrs Koh :)

How time flies! It’s been a week since my big day. Everything went on great that day. Good weather. Good outdoor shoot. Everything went as scheduled. Brothers and sisters were very helpful on that day. Both my dear dear and I were very grateful to all of them. Without them, our special day won’t be so smooth and successful. I am sure all of them had great fun too :D Below are some photos taken by my jiemeis and friends on that day.

Lovely nails done for my big day :)

The nervous bride in her room FB-ing … Waiting for her groom to come and get her :) Oh ya, the gatecrash was awesome too! :p

Outdoor shoot with the brothers and sisters. All of us had so much fun!

My 2nd outfit for the night – A pink gown which totally match our 2nd march-in theme. We specially planned a cosplay kinda theme for our 2nd march-in involving the brothers. I am sure without me saying, you will be able to guess what characters are we, right? :) It’s Mario and Princess Peach! The characters that the brothers were in are Star Wars, James Bond w Bond Girl, Mission Impossible, Shanghai Tang, Superman and IP Man. We had lots of good comments from friends and relatives on our 2nd march-in which was deemed really special :D

Everybody wanna get a picture with Mario and Princess Peach that night, you know~? :p

Camwhoring with my fav girlies! Love them to bits :)

The DB Gang at dis Table!

Yeah!

One More Day To Go!

Just one more day to go and it’s my big day le! I am so nervous, anxious and excited can! I am just hoping I won’t get too emotional tomorrow cause I know I am so gonna miss my family :( I will try to relax, smile and be the prettiest bride tomorrow :D Will post up more pictures next week.

My Bachelorette Party

My bachelorette party was totally smashing awesome can! Thanks to my evil and brilliant girlfriends, I had an great bachelorette party which I will never forget. I do not know how they do it but they managed to come up with something in such a short time. Including checking with everybody’s busy schedules to fix THE date for the party. It must be alot of hard work coordinating and I totally appreciate all their efforts. Eh, but minus the part on the evil game ideas :p Nevertheless, below are just some of the photos we took that night. Certain photos are too obscene to be shown here. So just use your imaginations!

They tricked me into wearing something different by telling me the theme colour is bright colours. And all of them turned up in BLACK. Thanks lor~

They got me started by putting on the veil and tiara. No man is there to unveil for me so I was asked to unveil myself -__-”’

Here comes the main lead and surprise for the party – The Penis Cake!

I was asked to take the cake and parade around the club. Gosh! Just imagine the amount of attention we got. People were so amused with the cake lor. It was really nice when a few people came to hug and congratulate me.

Thank you so much for planning this bachelorette party and I totally enjoyed all of it! You girls were great! Muacks!

PS : Counting down 8 days to my Big Day! :D

Our Wedding Invite

Counting down to less than a month to my big day :) Most of the invites have been sent out. Huge relief on that. I think the next big thing will be the RSVP and seat arrangement. With the help of my jiemeis, I know I am in good hands :)

And my evil friends have planned a bachelorette party for me!

I am really feeling jittery about it because I don’t know what evil games they have come up with for that night. But nevertheless, I am thankful to them for arranging it and I know I will enjoy myself to the max at the party :D

Lastly, let me show all of you our invitation card which has been specially personalised for our wedding :)

Surprise From The Les Berries

Finally, I managed to find time to upload the videos which I have promised since my Phuket trip with the Les Berries. I have watched it several times and still have a good laugh every time after watching it. Hope all of you will enjoy the videos too :)

Linda doing a rehearse in the room.

Here comes the real thing! I was so blur I didn’t even realised Jessica was filming.
