Parkway Thai & Tiong Bahru Market

Thanks to those who were concerned about me. Really appreciate it. I am fine now though things still don’t appear too good. Anyway, that unhappy incident aside, I have a super happy thing that happened to me. Got a really good job offer with good job prospects from a good company. To protect myself and the company, I can’t really reveal the name of the company here. All I can say is I will be working in the Sales & Marketing Department. It’s so gonna be very interesting and challenging. Definitely will get very busy but it doesn’t really matter because I get to learn lots of new things :) Yippy!

This is a super outdated post which happened last week but I was too lazy, tired and can’t be bothered to update. Me and my dear sister went to Tiong Bahru Market for dinner before going for our class last Tuesday. There were alot of nice food to eat wor. Both of us being so hungry and greedy, we ordered quite a number of dishes. Keke… Super satisfied after the dinner and went for class happily. LOLZ! Take a look at what we ate :)

And last Sunday my notti one brought his family out for lunch at Parkway Thai. We had buffet lunch with a fairly good spread of food. I personally find that the price quite ex lor. Each person about $30 plus. But since it’s my notti one treating, I just eat to my stomach and heart’s content lor :p After the lunch, we went to Pasir Ris pet farms to see dogs. The puppies were all soooooooo adorable! Hope I will be able to get a little pup of my own soon :D Alrighty. I shall not say much and leave you guys with the photos ba.

My notti one enjoying his lime juice :)

Super cool, we are ;)

What a memorable Mooncake Festival

Stress coming from work, money, studies and other matters built up and snowballed to an enormous powerful bomb which exploded at home just now by me. Harsh words were exchanged. Hearts were broken. Hidden problems were revealed. Damages were made. All in the short span of time : 30 mins. Hurting words hurled can never be taken back. Cracked marks on mended broken hearts will forever be there. No amount of apologies can reverse the tremendous damage done. A lot of things started to flashback so clearly in my mind. Tears were rolling down my cheeks as though I am standing in the rain. It felt like I have just finished watching a heart-wrenching korean drama. My heart felt so pain. But I am sure they felt more pain than me. The tears she shed just now can never be compared to the 4 hours of tears I shed. Deep down I know I have hurt her deeply. I think I have a lot of reflections to do on myself. What’s done cannot be undone but I hope someday I will be able to atone for the damage I have done. Though I didn’t say but it doesn’t mean I don’t care.

Random Thoughts

1] I super HATE the current place I am staying with my parents because it’s like staying in those old flats where alot of foreign workers are staying. It’s always so dirty, so smelly and so noisy. Not forgetting inconsiderate neighbours who stayed next door and right above us.

2] I wished we could move back to the previous house which is nearer to Causeway Point.

3] Notti one and I both have a common target to gossip about all the time but i cannot say it’s who :p

4] I wished I can buy a little pup Maltese and gave it a cute name like Twinkles :)

5] I hate it whenever I don’t have sufficient beauty sleep ;p

6] I still hate that HR Manager who humiliated and insulted me in my previous company.

7] I can confirm that the word “Slim” will never be used to comment about me in my entire life.

8] I feel that I am not hardworking enough sometimes.

9] I can be very nice but it doesn’t mean I can be bullied or push around.

10] I wished everybody can be more sincere and kind towards others.

881 Movie Treat

I had been wanting to bring my parents to watch the movie 881 since its release but it’s either I am not free or they can’t make it. So after some planning, we decided to watch it last Friday. Though it’s my 2nd time watching it, but it doesn’t really matter as long as my parents enjoyed the show. It’s been like donkey years since they last watched a movie I think. I, being the daughter, was supposed to treat my parents to the movie. But because the notti one got abit of winnings from Lucky, last Friday’s expenses were all on him ;p. The movie tickets, the popcorns plus the dinner for his Baby. Dinner was at Crystal Jade Kitchen. Shopped abit after dinner before we went to fetch my parents and sister for the movie. Though it’s my 2nd time watching the movie 881, but i teared again. Photos time!

My beloved notti one and his beloved baby :)

The food we had at Crystal Jade Kitchen. Their standard dropped though. Everything so salty.

Kawaii Mushroom From Mario World

Got a pleasant surprise this morning when I saw this cute little thing sitting on the passenger’s seat. It’s the Green Mushroom from Super Mario World! The notti one bought it for me to hug during rides in the car. So sweet of him =) Thanks my little notti one =p Muacks!

Dinner @ Old Airport Road

The notti one brought me to Old Airport Road for dinner on Saturday. That’s one of the places he usually lunch with his colleagues. He said there’s alot of nice food to eat and I will be spoilt with choices. When we reached there, I realised there are several stalls with newspaper cuttings and some other forms of recognition from TV shows like Lost & Found Makan Places. Since I couldn’t decide what I wanna eat, the notti one went off to get me the famous Wantan Mee. I can’t deny that the wantan mee was really nice. The noodle was cooked just right, not too soggy. The chilli added was not those sweet sweet type. The notti one ordered fishball noodles and his favourite side dish, fried oysters. The oysters were quite big de wor. While eating, I saw this satay stall selling black pepper satay. Eh I dunno is it I suaku but I have never seen black pepper satays before lor. So the greedy me went off to order some black pepper satays to try. Tasted quite nice but the notti one preferred the normal ones. After eating so much, we went Tampines Giant to shop around as it closes at 12 midnight. The notti one bought 2 big tubs of ice-cream back home. Keke… Me and the notti one are so gonna get very fat soon with all the junk food~ =P

The notti one caught in action by the notti me =D

The notti one said I looked like a teacher with my hair tied up plus the black frame specs

The super nice wantan mee (which explains the empty bowl =p)

The notti one had fishball noodle and bought grass jelly drinks for us

Notti one totally enjoyed his plate of Fried Oysters

Teacher look-alike, do I?

Restroom @ Boat Quay

Met up with Apple yesterday and we went to watch the movie 881 together. It was an impromptu meet-up because she’s always busy with her work. Not much comments abt the movie though I agreed that there’s several touching scenes. After the movie, we decided to head down to Restroom at Boat Quay. Eh don’t be mistaken hor. We didn’t go to the toilets at Boat Quay. It’s Apple’s friend’s pub named Restroom. I think as we gets older, we tend to prefer to chill out nowadays. BUT we definitely miss DevilsBar, the place where all the devils kakis gathered together to have fun. Anyway, last night at Restroom was really fun because we have the owner of Restroom, Andy and Apple’s colleague, Ben to entertain us throughout the night. Laughter can be heard for the nearly 7 hours there. Nod nod… We were there from 8pm onwards. It’s indeed crazy but its fun. We don’t know whether we will make it a weekly session but it might somehow become our next favourite hangout soon. Below are the photos taken last night when everybody was high in spirits =D

Me and Apple at Swensen having some ice-cream while we waited for our movie to start

Complimentary M&Ms and prawn crackers from Kelly

We started playing the dices game first. We even added a new rule to this game. Whoever drop the dice will have to drink because everybody shake the dices so hard and it kept dropping on the floor.

Then Apple suggested playing another game using poker cards with everybody picking a card but they can’t see what card they have. Each of us will get to pour either liquor, green tea or add ice to the cup as bids. Whoever with the smallest card will have to finish that concoct. It was quite exciting because you can see everybody’s card except yours.

This guy who is Apple’s colleague named Ben joined us much later. But in no time he was also high. He was asked to drink many times when we played the dice game because he kept dropping the dice. When we played the poker card game, he kept getting the smallest card. LOL! Ji suay yi sia lor~

Andy, the owner of Restroom, kept wanting to saboh people by adding alot of liquor to the concoct. In the end, suay suay kerna himself. Wahahaha…

After finishing 2 bottles of liquor, many bottles of green tea and many buckets of ice, everybody were still conscious. All good drinkers sial~ Mai siao siao~

Soon-to-be Alcoholic, I hope not :p

Dong,Dong,Dong…Kuishinbo~

Still remember a month ago, my sister and I wanted to feast at Kuishinbo before our exams but due to overwhelming response to their Wednesday promotion “Ladies’ Night” we got to settle for Changing Appetites? Well, being kiasu this time round, we made the reservation 2 weeks in advance. Keke… Didn’t manage to eat it the last time round really buay gam wan mah. So finally, we got to eat to our heart’s content last night. When we reached the restaurant, I can’t believe my eyes lor. Really alot of people sial. Mostly ladies of course. Haha… My sister and I enjoyed ourselves so much, especially me because it’s a treat from my sister. LOL! Yea, my sister is so sweet =) Did some window-shopping at Suntec City and realized there’s alot of changes like those new shops at Level 4. Alrighty, I shall make you all drool with the following photos taken during our feasting at Kuishinbo last night :)

Many servings of Japanese food, we had =)

Yong Tau Foo & Bedok Blk 85 Market

My notti one, the early bird who woke up early even on weekends, brought his mummy and me for breakfast last Saturday to this little restaurant selling really nice yong tau foo. This restaurant has been there for very long le. They only operate from 11.30am to 2pm everyday I think. There are even customers staying as far as Woodlands coming down all the way just to eat the yong tau foo. After trying it myself for the first time, it was really good. The chilli was good too. The notti one ordered a $15 big plate of yong tau foo which comes with a big bowl of soup each. It was so filling lor. After the brunch, the notti one brought us to the Philips Sale. As usual like previous years, there’s alot of people looking for good bargains from home theatre system to household appliances. After looking around, the notti one bought his mum a blender and rice cooker before we headed back home. Though he might be notti most of the time, but he is a fillal notti one. LOL!

Dinner on Saturday night was at Bedok Blk 85 Market. We ordered the usual Bah Chor Mee, Grilled Chicken Wings, Prawn Noodles, Grilled Sambal Stingray and not forgetting the Sugarcane Juice. Heez… Yummilicious! With all these sinful food every weekend, how not to get fat you tell me la.

PS: Just heard from my dearest friend Elaine that her beloved and cutest dog Jojo had left her and her family. In loving memory of Jojo, may she rest in peace and join the rest of the lovely pups like the late Lucky in another World…
