Of Hair Extensions, iPod Touch & Coach

Under the influence of Jac the Supergirl and Elaine the Lovely babe, I mustered the courage to do hair extensions yesterday. The last time since I got my long hair was like 10 years ago. Since then, I have been donning different short hairstyles all the way. Though I have heard comments from people around me saying short hairstyles still suits me the best, but which woman doesn’t wish to have long hair too, right? So with new hair trends like hair extensions, all the ladies with short hair will be able to don lovely long flowy hair within an hour! Similar to eyelash extensions, hair extensions work pretty much the same way.

Before and After photos of my hair. They managed to match similar colour hair extensions for my hair. Very natural. My dear dear got a shock when he saw my hair extensions and he’s still trying to get used to seeing me in long hair :p Not only him, I am also trying to get used to seeing myself in long hair too. It’s just so not me. Haha… Anyway, I am going to get it curled soon because I don’t like long straight hair like Sadako. Bleah~

I got an Apple iPod Touch for myself as a Xmas gift! (Sweetiebabe Wendy got herself a Agnes B bag for Xmas gift. And Elaine kept telling us “Recession, you know?” Hehe… Who cares about recession when shopping can make us so happy, isnt it? Keke :p)

And it comes with freebies like a Screen Protector, a Silicon case, a AC Power Adapter and a iPod Speaker Bag.

With the new iPod Touch, I can finally throw away the bulky organizer le! I will be able to keep my schedule at my fingertips with it ;)

Not only that, the new iPod Touch can fit nicely in my new Coach bag :) Sweeeeeeeeet!

I also bought my sister an early birthday pressie – A Coach Soho Signature Mini Skinny in Antique Gold

A happy girl who had burnt a big hole in her wallet :)

22 Days More To Go

Counting down 22 days to our 4th year Anniversary :) Muacks!

My Bangkok Holiday

Yippy! I have finally finished uploading the photos taken during my Bangkok trip about 3 weeks ago. Haha… I took a tad too long to update but I still manage to get it done when I found some free time today. This trip consists of not only shopping but also some sight-seeing. Beware! It’s a super long post! :p

Our flight was 7.15am and we got to reach the airport real early. It was raining very heavily when we were on the way to the airport. After we have checked in our luggages, we went for breakfast at Burger King.

We are here in Bangkok! In the cab on the way to our hotel.

Our lovely room with a cosy King size bed at The Westin Grande Sukhumvit Hotel.

Views from our room.

Both my dear dear and I literally nua and relax ourselves in the comfy room till evening time before we went out for our dinner :p We explored the night market near the hotel and settled our dinner at a Thai restaurant. We ordered a tofu dish, pineapple rice and of course not forgetting the must-have Tom Yum Goong!

After we have covered the entire night market, we went for foot massage. We even bought some Lays chips from the convenience stores on our way back to the hotel. They have so many nice flavours to choose from, unlike the limited choices in S’pore. It tasted great and my dear dear loved it so much :)

My dear dear’s colleagues and their girlfriends joined us on the next day. We woke up early and waited for them at the hotel lobby because its their first time in Bangkok. We are also the one who planned their 3-day itinerary. Good hor? Never charge tourist fee one leh. Hahaha… Anyway, after they have checked into their rooms with their luggages, we went for a quick breakfast at the MacDonalds next to our hotel.

Our first stop for the day – Chatuchak Weekend Market!

From far I thought it was a soft toy until I saw them moving! It’s real rabbits with clothes on. So cute!

Our 2nd stop for the day was to go bai bai the Four-Faced Buddha. It’s a must-visit place whenever I go Bangkok.

Couples Pic!

As all of us were feeling hungry but it’s also nearing to dinner time, we decided to get something light to eat in our rooms first. It’s some kind of Thai fried kuay tiao. Very nice wor.

After 1 hour of rest and washing up, we went to PatPong for some night-market shopping and our dinner. Both my dear dear and I actually came to this little Thai restaurant during our Bangkok trip 2 years ago. We thought it was quite a nice place which served nice food, therefore we brought the 2 couples there for dinner. We ordered quite a number of dishes.

After the dinner, the 2 couples went to watch Ping-Pong show. Haha… Erm, as it’s their first time in Bangkok, we suggested them to watch. Since my dear dear and I have watched it the first time we went Bangkok, and no point watching it again because it’s all the same type of acts, we decided to order some beer at a pub downstairs and wait for them.

On the next day, we had buffet breakfast at the hotel in the morning. They have nice selection of food.

Me and my notti dear dear

The newly-attached super lovey dovey couple who came down late to join us for the breakfast.

Off to the Grand Palace for a day of sight-seeing! The Grand Palace is a complex of buildings in Bangkok, Thailand which served as the official residence of the king of Thailand from the 18th century to the mid-20th century.

Did you notice the cone-shaped trees? So cute can!

My dear dear bought tickets for us le~ :)

The huge statue behind us is the giant demon (Yaksha), guarding the exit to the Grand Palace.

Pictures taken outside Phra Mondop, the library.

We went into Wat Phra Kaew, which is known as The Temple of the Emerald Buddha. It is regarded as the most sacred Buddhist temple in Thailand.

Group photo for the ladies.

Group photo for the gentlemen.

They are trying to figure out the meanings of the pictures on the wall because it’s all in Thai. Haha…

Group photo of us before we left the Grand Palace.

After visiting Grand Palace, we brought them to MBK for shopping. This time round I didn’t buy alot because the fashion abit out. Moreover, it’s not meant to be a shopping trip for me. As most of us were carrying quite a number of things, we went back to the hotel to change into shorts (We were all in jeans because no shorts or sleeveless are allowed at the Grand Palace) before going to Platinum Fashion Mall. Suay suay by the time we reached the Platinum Fashion Mall, we were told that they have closed early for some holiday. Feeling disappointed, tired and hungry, we walked further up to their IT Mall to find a place for dinner.

And we saw this-KFC with fried rice! While I was snapping pictures of the food, the toopid KFC staff asked me not to take photos. TMD! I was quite pissed but I was done with taking all the photos I want already so I didn’t freaking bother about him when he asked me to stop. After a hearty dinner at KFC, we went to the A&W next door for Rootbeer float and waffle ice-cream :) I missed their curly fries and rootbeer float!!!

Our last stop for the day was Suan Lum Night Bazaar. We took the MTR there. The black coin-like chips on my hand works like our EZ-link card lor. Like S’pore, you buy the chip from the machine by inserting the money allocated for the station you are going. You placed the chip to scan and the door will open for you to enter into the train station. I heard some other countries like Taiwan or France are also using such system. How nice!

Having been walking so much since morning, all of us were so exhausted that we literally got no image liao. Squat, sit and even lie down on the floor! We even took off our slippers at the train station. LOL!

On the last day, all of us went for massages before we took the evening flight back to S’pore. All of them went for Thai and foot massage whereas I went for aromatherapy oil massage. I do not know is it because of the poor economy or what, the female masseuse actually asked me several times whether I want special service!!!! And she kept wanting to touch me there! I have gone for massages so many times but never kerna this kind of thing lor. I always thought it will only happen to men. Yucks! I can still vividly remember :”Mdm, you want massage there? 500 baht.” Kaoz! I love going spa and massages. I seriously hope this incident will not left me traumatized lor.

Copycat Blogger & Ah Tiongs

Lately, I found out there are somebody out there, not only put up my friends’ blog links in their blogs but also follow their style of writing too. Even the content of some of the posts were pretty similar. Don’t they have their own originality at all? Oh, maybe they do have afterall. And that might be the lousy language used in their writing! Alright, I am not saying my written English is very good but at least people understand what I am writing. Maybe some of you might find that it’s none of my business because it’s their blog. Since it’s their blog, then write in their own style. Why be a damn copycat to follow me and my friends’ style?

Just recently, I have turned into an Ah-Tiong Hater Extremist. Because they can be seen and heard at nearly every corner of Singapore. Yes. They can be heard almost everywhere because they talked so damn loud even though their Ah-Tiong counterparts were just standing next to them. They have no sense of etiquette. Young or old. Tall or short. Fat or thin. All the Ah-Tiongs just irked me to the max! Before they start setting up a small colony somewhere in Singapore, is there a way to stop their population from growing and polluting our country? So sickening can~

Back From Bangkok

Time always pass very quickly when you are on holidays. Anyway, I quite enjoy the short trip to Bangkok because its a much-needed holiday for both myself and my dear dear to relax and destress. There’s a couple of reasons why it’s not a fully-enjoyed holiday but I don’t wish to talk about it. Well, I have yet to upload the photos so wait till I got the time and the mood then I will post up the photos taken in Bangkok.
