Do U Give 100%?

A boy and a girl were playing together. The boy had a collection of marbles. The girl had some sweets with her. The boy told the girl that he will give her all his marbles in exchange for her sweets. The girl agreed.

The boy kept the biggest and the most beautiful marble aside and gave the rest to the girl. The girl gave him all her sweets as she had promised.
That night, the girl slept peacefully. But the boy couldn’t sleep as he kept wondering if the girl had hidden some sweets from him the way he had hidden his best marble.

Moral of the story:

If you don’t give your hundred percent in a relationship, you’ll always keep doubting if the other person has given his/her hundred percent. This is applicable for any relationship like love, friendship, employer-employee relationship etc. Give your hundred percent to everything you do and sleep peacefully. It’s nice to be an important person, but it’s more important to be a nice person.

U R The Man, Brother!

How time flies and I must admit that I am really getting old. It seemed like my brother just celebrated his 1 year old birthday and now he’s enlisted for national service. My parents went with him on Tuesday. Lucky him doesn’t need to go ulu ulu Tekong for training because he’s been enlisted to Police Academy. Though he can be really defiant at times, but it just feel weird without him at home. The whole family missed him, especially my mum who will wait for him to call home every night. My mum even showed me the SMS he sent her on his first night that he missed her and Dad. How sweet of him, isn’t it? I always feel that National Service is good for guys because the training makes them a real man, at least the majority of them. I do know of some guys who didn’t went through national service who behave like wimps. Bleah!

On a happier note, I just bought myself a new Kate Spade bag. It’s big enough to put all my things. I can never get use to carrying small bags.  Don’t know why but I just got myself quite into this brand lately. Nice designs, they have :)

Of Birthday, Meet-up & Kuishinbo

Celebrated Noelle’s birthday last Tuesday. We enjoyed our little chats over a simple dinner at Spageddies. Bought her a Red Kate Spade cardholder as Red is her favourite colour. She loved it and even showed me her love for this passionate colour, Red. Red wallet, red iPhone case and her red Honda Fit :)

Met up with my beloved forum friend, Autumnleaf last Thursday for dinner at Shokudo. I have been wanting to arrange a dinner with the rest of the girls with her since she came back last December. But due to the busy schedules, the meet-up can no longer be postponed because she will be going back to Australia already. We had so much to chat that night because I only get to see her like once a year when she’s back to S’pore for holiday. Thinking back, we have known each other for like 6 years already I guess. I totally missed those times when we were so active surfing the pink forum, going for gatherings and chatting online almost everyday. All in all, I am glad there are still a handful of us who will try to keep in touch with one another and keep this friendship going. I do not have to name you here because you know who you are :)

Last Friday, my sister and I brought our brother to Kuishinbo for his first time for a nice dinner. He is going to be enlisted this Tuesday. How time flies~ He’s all grown up and now he’s going to serve his national service. No matter how old he is, he will always be my little brother whom I will dote on though he can be very mischevious at times. And of course, he will be missed by the family.
