Video Games Live Concert

Last Friday, my dear dear brought me to watch the Video Games Live concert at the Indoor Stadium. This concert is basically music and animation from the most popular video games of all time like Super Mario, Final Fantasy, Pac Man and more using exclusive video footage and music arrangements from a full orchestra, synchronized lighting, live action performances and unique interactive segments. Very interesting indeed.

Dear dear came to fetch me for dinner with another 2 of his colleagues before we went for the concert.

Good view from where we were sitting.

After the concert, we went down to PowerHouse for Thomas’ Birthday celebration. Dear Dear and another 2 colleagues bought him a Waterfall which got him pretty drunk after that :p

My latest purchases – My fav, A uber cute Domokun and Nokia E71. Red colour for me and Metallic Grey for my sister.

Buddhist Shifu

With the recommendation of my colleague, she accompanied me to see a Buddhist shifu which she have been seeing for many years. It’s not that I am possessed by some evil spirits or whatsoever. Apparently, this Buddhist shifu is gifted to sense the well-being of every individuals. He can tell me things which only my closest people will know or only known to myself. Because of old and bad habits, my health hasn’t been good which resulted in frequent migraines and bad body aches. He said I can’t sleep well throughout the night too. I think alot of people sleep late nowadays which is also a big no-no as it affects the process of repairing your exhausted body. He shared with me quite a fair bit but certain details are too personal to share here. He also said I got to try to relax and remain a peaceful mind. I am overly stressed up and it feels like a huge stone resting heavily on my chest. With so many things to think and worry about, how not to feel stress right? But I just got to learn to look at things positively and not take it too hard. Maybe I should plan my Japan trip earlier instead. Holidays do wonders to the mind and body :) And of course meeting the BFFs and friends for some laughing sessions over dinner sounds good too! Not forgetting my family and my dear dear who are there for me always. I am blessed.

Of Long Weekends, Toys & Shopping

My recent weekend started earlier than usual because I took the Vesak Day holiday-in-lieu on Friday. So after I knocked off on Thursday, I went to meet my dear dear for dinner. Since I am craving for some Thai food, I decided to bring him to Golden Mile Complex (or better known as Little Thailand) for Thai food.

We ordered beef kuay tiao and tom yum goong. I had the thai ice tea and dear dear had lemongrass juice. It’s so yummy and spicy~ Shiok!

Since both my dear dear and myself were off from work on Friday, we slept through till noon before we headed to Compass Point for lunch. We have been seeing this particular advertisement on TV a couple of months ago but haven’t really tried it yet. Since they have opened a branch at Compass Point, we decided to give it a try. I am sure most of you have seen the advertisement before. It goes:”Jia Xiang, Jia Xiang, Jia Xiang, Mian Mian Mian. Jia Xiang, Jia Xiang, Jia Xiang, Mian Mian Mian. Ooooooh Jia Xiang Mian!”

The noodles not too bad but I find it abit too pricey.

After our lunch, we went for some window shopping before heading back home to continue watching our favourite Hells Kitchen series. As my dear dear wanted to go to the Midnight Launch of the Transformers:Revenge Of The Fallen toys at Forum’s Toys’R'Us, both of us went Orchard for dinner and shopping. We reached Forum Shopping Centre at around 10.45pm and the queue was so long lor. From Level 3 all the way to Level 1. My dear dear very clever. He expected the huge crowd so he already asked me to prepare my PSP and his comic book before we left the house. -_- Want to how pro. As there’s a free goodie bag for the 1st 200 customers, I find that most people were queuing up for the goodie bags instead of going there for the newly launched toys. When we went inside Toys’r'us, I can literally see the newly released Transformers toys flying off the shelves. Those avid toys collectors just don’t wanna miss out on any good item I think. It’s pretty interesting seeing them you know. The scenario was like those ladies who were queuing for the branded sale in Confessions Of A Shopaholic and how they chiong inside the shop and started grabbing what they wanted. But this time round, it’s mostly men. Well, I think men can be a worse shopaholic than women :p

For the midnight launch, they were giving away $20 voucher for all the Toys’R'Us members and UOB credit card members. So my dear dear got 1 voucher and I got 1 voucher. See the grin on my dear dear’s face and the new toys he bought, of which 2 of them were bought by me for him. Ji happy lor this man.
